Arma 3 lighting

Arma II has some bright nights as well. It also has some pitch black nights. It all has to do with the position of the moon.

Yes. It's not THAT bright.

Then you haven't been outside when there's a full moon. Moonlight can be pretty bright. Enough where, yes, you can see.

Night darkness all depends on the moon phase, moon position, time of day, time of year, and location of the viewer (Although in ArmA there is only 1 location per play session).

And yes, if you've ever been out in the middle of nowhere with absolutely no light pollution from artificial light sources, a full moon can be very, very bright.

Especially if it's on a clear night.

Yes. Even if it's partly cloudy, you can see shadows of the clouds cast by the moon.
