getting rid of the annoying traffice

Is there anyway to get rid of the cars and trucks that rome around and pass thru other objects ? really is annoying

in My Documents, Take On Helicopters, there is a text file called TakeOnH.

notice AmbientTraffic=1;

change the 1 to a 0, and save.

this is what mine looks like.

Sprocket patch 2 improved the appearance of the traffic, but it still passes thru other objects

:o indeed it does not.

That's what I get for winging it without listening to and following directions...

Zipper5 mentioned to me how but I didn't document it at the time...

try this instead. go to

My Documents, Take On Helicopters other profiles, your name.

open up YourName.cfg

edit the line preferredTrafficViewDistance=1000; to your desired value, then save

the value can only go as low as 100 in Video Options, this way it can be set to 0.

I CONFIRM this as working. heheheh sorry :p.

Cant wait for the full verison to be released , pretty cool and different game ...

hope they get more details on the roads etc .

This feature is only available since the experimental beta patch 2 (and the full game of course). You should be able to disable it by setting the video option for ambient traffic to its lowest value. There's also script commands to disable / adjust the traffic in isolated areas of the environment (keep an eye on the community WiKi).
