Congratulations on another release. I hadn't played ACE 2 since OA was released and recently reinstalled it to play with the nukes.

First thing I noticed was the sound mod. It really is great. I haven't messed with the options yet, but it looks like those were made more accessible. As far as the mod itself, I played a couple games of Warfare ACE version and thoroughly enjoyed it. And yes, the nukes rock... :D

I know this thread will soon be full of questions and more questions, so I just wanted to throw in a compliment.

EDIT:

But what's the deal with the RC2 hotfix posted in the last post of v1.6 thread? Can't we get it via the SixUpdater? It doesn't look like it's up there.

Huh? Why couldn't you? I don't get it.

Shouldn't you mention that in the first post? How will people know about the hotfix once the old thread gets pushed back a page or two?

They'll know because you just told them and because it's written in the previous thread, and in the release notes of the releases.

Not sure what the problem is here, can we move on?

No problem, did I ever say I had one? Just trying to prevent a problem. You should know better to think people will read a thread or even a post a few pages back. That's a pipe dream!

Pfew, finally some breath :D

It wasn't mentioned in this new stable thread fipo because it's not required for the stable, and didn't want to confuse therefore.

Next update on six-updater is scheduled for next week, so that the Stable and six-updater signature keys match for at least a short while ;-) And there's been enough updates this week already :)

A suggestion for Ace Dev team:

Remove the class Identity from file ace_clientside_config.hpp, move for a isolated file , example SetIdentify.hpp. This will facilitate the adjustment procedure of profile's name, I will update only the ACE_client_side_config.hpp.

Unfortunately there was in the past... the new scripted tracers were such an example.

Clippi never updated it.

Using latest version, available in the @ACE mod folder?

did you change bullet impacts ? there is much less smoke now, the old ones were better imo

ps: I am also using WarFx Blastcore so I am not sure which one is responsible for that change
