  1. 1. What are the most important sounds for you while using JSRS?

    • The weapon sounds!
    • The vehicle sounds!
    • Environmental sounds!
    • Explosions, Soniccracks, Bullethits, the sound of danger!
    • The script features like the "distance sounds"!
    • Everything combined! The whole Mod itself is important.

Updated Readme:

Readme file. Read this to get more information about installation or optional addons.

See the text above as an warning. I know, many people understand the step I went with this. Keep this in mind as an warning! Ones again: We DONT talk about optional pbo's or sounds. These are just to suit my own taste! Keep that in mind.

So, I wish you now alot of fun. With this update, you should run RPT clean with JSRS. Some updating base classes because of the environment config wont be fixed.

Thanks,

Jarhead

Nah, the patch is not changing any sounds, just error fixing ;) At least, only the stagged distant sounds were new with 1.4.2.

After 1.4.2 performance is quite improved now

And sounds have a normal volume. Definitely as enjoyable as 1.3 version was. Kinda miss the gear noise though

Waiting for the spring.

Prepare my hemi for the sommer.

Taking a well-deserved break.

Try to prevent getting annoyed by anyone.

Ignoring stupid people.

Thinking about making JSRS 1.5.

Still ignoring stupid people.

Prolong any future releases because of stupid people.

Playing Arma 3.

Dying.

Lord Jarhead: the sounds are beautiful and you know it!

Just a very tiny minor thing that I would like to see changed someday: The reload sounds of the rifles, especially M4 sounds like inside a room or building. Please try in the future to change them to sound more like outside, since 99% of the time we are outside of buildings.

EDIT: I like the optional sounds very much. I use them as default for me.

Thank you for your hard work!

Your Welcome.

To the reloads: All of them were made in a forest area. Thatswhy say sounds abit like in a room. I maybe can try to filter it. Will see.

Well the main problem with a reload is a very short and clear reverb tail. So it isn't like a room but more like a studio recording actually.

Yah, this tail was built during the recording. Its not recorded in a studio or room, trust me. Dont worry, I will take a look on them ;)
