Following a request, I have just made a GITS Evolution for Isla Duala - an African island.

the mission is initialised so the enemies shout in arabic and you can hear them talking to each other - reduces their surprise factor and really intimidates your team

--Blazes' weapons mod (laser lock javelin, 2 rnd M136, 5 round mags of grenades for the UGL/ M79, Egg's much tougher MP5SD, etc)

--realistic and terrifying tracer mod

--GDT hellfire/TOW/ chopper mods - working hellfires in pilot seat that follow your eye-laser

--Satchels that can be attached to vehicles or thrown

-- fix that stops your character doing weird evasion moves or stops his gun sticking in doorways when you're trying to get into cover

--Nightvision fix - gives much better all-round vision for playing at night

--samaritans high visibility waypoint - helps to avoid friendly fire incidents

--GDT Mi24 mod - allows the hind to see and lock enemy much further away

--zgb vapourtrails - makes the planes look cool

this is how we play it, and it's pretty damn good

ok there was a slight problem

- the airport vehicle service sensor was out by 90 degrees - should be fixed now

- the MHQ ambulance was respawning without the marker so you couldn't teleport to it - should also be fixed

the water patrol and assassinate general missions need work too

wow the usual aircraft patrols are a nightmare when squeezed into this small island - we were trying to attack the first city yesterday and a Mi8 kept buzzing us with its 3 machine gunners giving us what for. eventually we shot it down but then a gang of 3 hind's caught the scent and they must have radioed it in cos soon after we had gone to ground in a building BOOOM! a wing of Frogfoots came in andflattened the whole compound with S8's... all this and we hadn't even gotten near to the city...

some bugs to fix:

farp delta shape expand to cover airstrip

LHD farp - expand to cover carrier flight deck

move all FARP LOCATION markers 10 m north so they can be read easier

Offroads don't respawn

Assassination mission - move int hotel sniper spot to kirabo hotel roof/ fix elevators

reduce respawn times for enemy aircraft

has anyone else noticed this is their RPT file?

Error: sample vops_s_environmental\light_sea.wss with unsupported sample frequency: 48000

seems to be a bug relating to Isla Duala and VOPS sound mod?

I've got thousands and thousands of them in rpt file, which builds up to an out of memory error

ADDED ability to turn on and off the GITS 5 round GL ammo mod (assuming you have downloaded it from the link where the mission is stored)

ADDED ability to toggle mandohitch on and off (default off) - to make it ACE compatible

FIXED a slight bug with the number of players and the green player markers

FIXED moved ambulance spawn a little to the north

FIXED spetsnaz assault spawn and target locations - look out!

working today on:

sorting out the location spawns for the side missions

done and working: massg

done but not tested: csar, csarb, mapat, mlpat, mdefn

to do:

redesign placement for: mwpat

put in remote villages/ bases: csarc, mdst

put on mainland roads: mass, massa

put on remote islands/mountains: mdst2, csard

Thanks for your effort. Usually I'm not a big fan of Domination, but this one is cool. I'll surely test it out with my team.

take a stinger! the air traffic is intense. once i have the side missions all working in the next few days - try just calling them in and serving each mission as a team - leave the city conquest alone... it makes for an intense and variableteam based game, with all of the role-based functions coming into their own

ok ive just updated the file - see first post for link.

v4 has all the side missions fixed as far as I can see. All the FARP's and scripts are functioning and we have so far made it to Bolabongo, about halfway through the mission. The reinforcements were all attacking the wrong cities before and I've fixed this now as well as the spetsnaz assaulting the airfield. I moved their target down to the hospital, to reduce spawnraping.

nice and very good job soldier, thx 4 taking notice of my request and porting gits evo to duala!! i can tell with all this stuff now that i see, that you like the island after having a look at it muahaaa! i didnt have any time in the last 2-3 weeks for arma, but will test'n play a lot of arma again this easter...lets roll.

thx for your effort, work, sweat and enthusiasm for the comm and keep up the good work soldier and the same of course goes to icebreaker for this fantastic island duala!

yes 4 shore m8. i'll be testn the normal version these days, but i also would love to play the modded version, so if u can make it easier and quicker to dl, guess everybody would be more than thankfull. or maybe add all the mods into one gits_evo_duala_mod.rar/zip file. that would be schaaschweet
