The year is 2013...

The crash of the Sovjetunion never took place. In 2011 the Sovjetunion gave the order to rebuild the atomic powerplant of chernobyl. No one knows why... In 2012 the US-Government send an expedition-force to the dangerzone chernobyl. Till today there was never a respond. A stalker called "the black eye" entered, in cooperation with the US-Government, the dangerzone. His mission: Find out what the russians gonna do there. Chernobyl is a dark and cold place. A 8x8km big dangerzone around the reactor of the powerplant is the eyecatcher...

whoa, sounds cool. i loved your OFP mod!

but why put it into arma 1 first?

I would see if you can link up with senchi (Valhalla mod) or sumrak (nightstalkers mod) and see if you guys can sort of cooperate with scripts, models ect. since all 3 mods are somewhat similar in theme and apparent purpose (post apoc, monster zombie, STALKER, survival, 'RPG" aspect ect). could drastically cut down on some of the amount of work that each mod needs to do. you shouldn't have to reinvent the wheel when you dont have to :)

in the nightstalkers trailer we saw that sumrak already has working blood suckers, and blow outs.

looking forward to it!

Not really a campaign, an endless game... full with missions, quests and secrets...

I will give a number of 25 main missions, 40 quests and 15 secrets (or better hidden quests) the gameplay should be like the last part of conspiracies (The Experience) so completly freedom of what you do... imagine stalker without loading between the seperated levels... including car driving... The building home function will also be a new feature which weren't included in part 3 of conspiracies... You will have a little house, with ammo-crates, a laptop and several other thing which might be useful to you... you can add several thing later if you completed some hidden quests... just like in oblivion or fallout 3.... inlcuding a garage for your vehicles! ;)

I just completet 2 of the main places in CRD... Prypjat and a little village called Dadrov...

are those screens from ARMA1?

If you really intend to first develop for arma 1 first then... dont. ArmA2 is capable of so much more than arma 1 and much more easily as well.

the modules in arma2 already can do some of the things that you want, be it ambient combat, civilians, animals, traffic, secondary operations, dynamic weather or things like the pre-built conversation system.

but really you dont need me to tell you this stuff

I want to develope it for ARMA1 first, cause i know ARMA1 better than ARMA2 and it wont be so easy to port it from ARMA2 to ARMA1... yes they are from ARMA1, the shots i mean... :) Soon i will release a first try of porting it to arma2!

Actually, I have no problem with the fact you release it first on ArmA I, because my computer isn't powerful enough for ArmA II :D

Wow, yes! This is fantastic.

The original Conspiracies had a better atmosphere than Stalker:SoC, (and I only got to play it for about 30 minutes because due to some corrupted archive the scripts of the first trader bugged out) a fact that caused me to be really disappointed in SoC because an OFP mod had done it better than GsC managed in 7 years of development.

Really looking forward to this!

Yep I am alone, so i have no time for creating new buildings and objects so i decided to use the ensk objects v2.0 and russian architecture v3.0... Only the models, like cleaner, stalker and so on will be made by me... So thats everthing i need^^... I will ask the propers for permission so i can release it With the mod or you guys have to download it seperat... ATM the gameworld phase is maybe 5% complete... Just finished the 2 mining complexes and a little memorial... :) I will ad a Status-Display to the first post... Everytime up to date...

I also just tested the arma-memory... so how many objects can i use to have also a good framerate of 20-15... with the maximum options... Impressive my idea to put all the objects with the 3d-editor, including grass, trees, building ect. is brilliant... The gameworld is now 6,825km x 6,045km... Big enough for a minimum of 70 even 80 hours of playing, without seeing any you have seen before... And the best a constant framerate of 15 in the forests, 20-15 in prypjat, and 20-30 in the villages... on the streets 25-35fps... SO you will definatly have more frames per second with this option, than with the options to create an highly detailed island...

Only thing, the loading time for the "mission" would be around 2min... Just tested it... Never thought... This was never possible in OFP... Tried it a few times... It began to lag, doesnt matter what monster machine of pc you had....

A real BIIIIG city like Pripyat is what needed in ArmA2, I hope when the mod comes out I'll have the powerplant to handle it.

Great news, Sled, I really got hooked up with Conspiracies in my "ofp times", I really enjoyed all parts, the last one with more freedom of movement was pretty cool (where you can move freely from sector to sector) and I was looking forward to your work, sadly I thought everything was dead until I read this today :) .

Conspiracies+DXDLL really put OFP to its graphical limits :yay: .

I have my hands full with other projects, but if you need a sort of scientist/hazmat suit I can give you my work on hazmat units, if you are interested. I might fix them up for ArmA1 then, my current version was updated for ArmA2.

@Icewindo: Of course, very very good work!!!!! I though i was working alone on this mod^^ Seriously you could help! One model less i have to create and work on... Have you uploaded this somewhere? Of course the credits were yours! Can't wait to set them into Prypjat and send you guys here a Screenshot^^ :bounce3:

great to see someone develloping something this good for arma 1 for us people who dont have the system for arma 2 while also making it for arma 2, you are also working at an incredible speed so keep up the good work and i hope the project gets finished.

didnt you also say that your gameworld would be based upon satelite data because if i remember correctly the powerplant is to the south of pripyat and not north of it as in s.t.a.l.k.e.r.

anyways keep up the good work and i am eagerly awaiting to play this project

Nope I said on Photos not satelites^^ And I think its in the south-east but more in the east of Prypjat.

Don't forget to put alot of old rusty Mi-8s etc. in the vehicle graveyard. They actually have alot bigger helicopters than those there but the Mi-8 is all that's available in ArmA unfortunately.
