Operation Spearhead

Just created a new mission for Razani

Needs:

Required addons

- CAA1 project

- Razani N. Waziristan

- FFAA terrorists

- Advanced Combat Environment 2 - Core beta

- Advanced Combat Environment 2 - eXtras beta

- Community Base addons

There are 10 slots, this mission is not for the weak, it is Extremely hard, you have all the weapons you need and armor, and humvees.

Consists of 2 fire teams and 1 sniper team, each Team leader is the Assault grenadier with Bink Special forces camo pat.

The mission utilizes the ACE Medic system.

Bandages, Morphine & Epipens are currently in use.

To use the things on other players you should use the 'action menu'

Right windows key unless binded to another key.

Ambient combat is also active, so it feels like more intense combat.

There will be ambushes as well.

Future version will include IEDs.

x2 Bradleys (loaded with guns and ammo)

Humvees

1 tank

1 Longbow

Strykers (loaded with guns and ammo)

Alot of ammunition & weapons, the CO thinks you will need it

Terrorists / Taliban

Hidden Enemy weapon emplacements in the hills

Enemy patrols

Ambushes

Civilians

Small towns

** If anyone is a lone soldier your team will 'not' survive, and that is a promise ;-) **

** Do not treat the mission as laid back or u will be dead within minutes **

** Use real world tactics and you should survive ** - Maybe...

There are random AA pod emplacements, maned by Terrorists

Random D30 emplacements in the hills maned by Terrorists as well.

Random goats... :p

Civilian populated areas with Terrorists in the area as well... Mountain tops with Taliban in them...

Changelog

Fixed:

- You no longer lose your back packs

- Fixed spelling mistakes in some messages

- Asylum error message will no longer come up if you are not running Afghani village

Changes:

- Slightly increased armor due to high AI skill level, and to give a better survival rate

- Adjusted some of the enemy D30s so they have a better view

- Removed weapons in all vehicles, all weapons are in ammo crates instead

- Removed alot of the vehicles

- Added damage / low fuel to vehicles (they have been through ambushes and have been through heavy enemy fire)

- Added more medic crates for medical supplies

- Random enemy patrols, and friendly patrols

- Russians are working with terrorists

- You will no longer get an error message for 'Missing Asylum' if you are running - Avgani Iraq & Afghan Village

I agree. this mission needs to be put on one of those new made for ArmA2 islands... its time to let ArmA1 go. :)

There are no good Afghan or dessert maps for arma 2 untill arrowhead is out.

There are a few really good maps for Arma 1 which were:

- Avgani

- Afghan Village

- Razani

- Sakakkah

I would wish someone could just putt all of those maps into one big dessert map for arma2 or 1 (so i can use it with caa1).

All current Dessert maps for arma 2 which are big enough have no detailed urban areas, and those few who have are to small and not as good as the old ones. So there is no way around those maps if you want play good dessert missions.

By the way, afghan village, avgani and razani are much better than quesh-kabrul in my eyes, but it could fit on a big map together with the other maps too.

Yes it is based off ]ntruder's mission, I even say in the mission itself that it's been re done.

I wanted a more intense experience with more features, and that's what I have done.

I will also be:

Decreasing the amount of vehicles in the next version

Adding IEDs in

Re writing the point of the mission

Decreasing the amount of weapons given...

- Reason: (They have been battling taliban for days, and their supply trucks have been stolen)

Decreasing the amount of weaponry will also force more team work, teaching people to aim and not wasting ammo, and only engaging enemy if they are within distance without the bullet deviation taking too much of a toll on their shots.

IEDs give surprise attacks, and it's always fun to not know what's going to happen.

I'll probably add in more objectives as well.

- I have to learn how to do random ambushes and better triggers as well.

But taking a mission re editing it, adding things in and changing things around a bit is a good way to learn and also gives other people a chance to have some fun too.

If someone pulled a part my mission, re edited it and what not I would not mind, I would actually enjoy it, because I like variety. :bounce3:

Full props to each individual that actually *tries* to make missions even if they are edited, i'm sick of Domination and Evo, so I think the more variety the better. Just MHO.

I don't ask for respect in any way, I just believe that sharing is caring lol

I will add the credits back in on the next version release. This is the first time in me releasing a edited mission as such publicly, so learning curves can happen.

Hello Solarghost,

today i try your mission but i have a problem. When i try to start the mission i can select an soldier but then when the mission will load after a short while i become the message:

cannot open object razmisc\19strb_raz.p3d

the i have an crash to desktop. with 2.5 same problem but only switch back to mission choice menue.

Maybe a wrong razani installation but then i try Operation Roadfighter on razani and it works. Have you an idea ?

My @Razani\addons folder have the follow content:

Ok, first of all, razmisc is in the mission.sqm file

Second, I am using 'Razani_v0.55'

razmisc.pbo is a core file for razani

My version size is: 208,957kb

And razmisc.pbo.NBELL.bisign is 1kb

Also in your post I noted:

razani.pbo

razani.pbo.NBELL.bisign

razmis.pbo Should be: razmisc.pbo unless you made a typo? lol

This is me in a tank I added in to test the mission :P

The artillery is tryna get me, after me being cheeky about 3 of them hit my tank hah...

But no tank is in the mission sorry lol you will have to suffice with humvees, strykers and bradleys.
