[SP/COOP] No Rest For Team Razor

No Rest For Team Razor 1.0

norestwrix.jpg

A few hours ago a Jeep driving from Elektrozavodsk to Chernogorsk was ambushed by local insurgents. One person in this Jeep was the US Journalist Andy Bush. The insurgents took him hostage. Our Intel is sure that they brought him to Pusta.

Features:

- No Addons needed !

- Briefing and ingame text completely in english !

- Insertion and extraction with a helicopter

- Rescue a hostage

- Position of the hostage is random

- Random enemy patrols and reinforcements

- Special color filter

This is a small but fun hostage rescue mission, you should be able to finish it in 30min. There are not many enemies, but if you use bad-tactics they will put up a good resistance.

And if they spot you they will maybe kill the hostage, so dont rush !

The idea to this mission is from the first mission of the Harvest Red campaign.

I tested the mission many times in SP but if you play it in MP, please understand that maybe there are some errors.

It is not easy to make a mission 100% MP compatible. So if you think something is not working in MP, please tell me what so i can fix it !

Armaholic mirror:

- No Rest For Team Razor Co-x

As always i hope you give me some feedback !

That was a badass little mission. Simple, 4 player, not too hard, not too easy. The info & extract actually work! :)

Thanks for making a fun mission!

Nice little mission. Good to see the boys are back in action.

Works fine with ACE.

Especially with ACE SM and HiFi working together. Great echoing sounds throughout the village.

Thanx for that heads up on the sound combination Kommie.

I use the Ace_Sm OR the HiFi mod separately, depending on the 'mood' i'm in.

I never thought they could run 'together'.

I'll give it a try.

ps:

I see Sarmat is working on a new Dynamic sound mod featuring the varied echos

you'd get in a forrest vs. an inner city block vs. a concrete room vs. a Zinc Barn, etc.

Impressive stuff.

Hello Wiggum,

We have installed the mission on the CiA dedicated Linux server.

When the chopper lands, wee can't leave it. Can't get out, can't eject, nothing.

Can something be done?

Regards,

Regards,

Puh, i dont know...

Never tested my missions on dedicated servers.

This is the chopper unload script:

if (!isServer) exitWith {};
//hint "unloading";
sleep 5;
{doGetOut _X} forEach units razor1;
//{unassignVehicle _x} forEach units razor1;
waitUntil {({_x in helo1} count (units razor1) == 0)};
sleep 5;
helo1 lock true;
helo1 flyinheight 200;
helo1 domove (getmarkerpos "wp0");
sleep 5;
nul=execVM "call1.sqf";
helo1 domove (position wp1);

If anyone knows why this is not working on a dedicated server then please tell me.

Hey Wiggum I suggest you simply start the mission when the team is crouched next to the chopper as if they just disembark from it. after a few seconds it takes off. It is a nice workaround the problem and will enable dedicated servers to run your mission. Actually, even without having this problem I think it's better than have the team start inside the chopper and having it land, because Arma chopper landings are so clumsy and un-operational :) What do you say?
