    • The weapon sounds!
    • The vehicle sounds!
    • Environmental sounds!
    • Explosions, Soniccracks, Bullethits, the sound of danger!
    • The script features like the "distance sounds"!
    • Everything combined! The whole Mod itself is important.

J.S.R.S is definitely the most enjoyable sound mod. I've totally fell in love with it. If saying VOP is my wife, then the JSRS is my sexy lass.:D

Yah, maybe. I think i should take a break after JSRS^^ But i have two complete other sound mods in stock. So when JSRS is done, it would be peace of cake to public two new mods. But they are not even close to the Level of JSRS.

So, when i done with that here, i would really like to make a mod like VOP. So nice, short real sounds... or so^^

I'm glad to hear that you're making a more Realistic sound mod. JSRS is a very nice mod, but i remember the first time i watched the youtube videos of this mod, My initial reaction was "The sound effects are hollywood style but it's not bad".

I find many aspects of this mod more realistic than the others I have tried. First person gunshots are nice, and not something you are going to find captured on handheld cameras. Explosions have a nice range and some realistic distance effects, although as I mentioned above, the smaller range of explosions seem overdone. Improvements to supersonic cracks and impacts have already been discussed. I think Jarhead has the foundations for a very realistic mod.

One other item that could use some tweaking: helicopter noise is awesome at 50m or less, but is way too loud at 100m+. This is causing problems in multiplayer, as having any helicopters anywhere in the area is making comms impossible. They drown out all sounds, even nearby gunshots and explosions.

No, its not possible, because my sounds are loud and clear, the engine got a bit trouble to play and balance them, because there two times bigger than normal. So i can change the config entry that says how long the range of sound is. Now its somewhere around 2000 or 1800 Meters. When i would change them to, let say, 800 Meter, the man in nearby don't have a loud sound you mentioned anymore. BUT, i losing the Distance effects. So there is one Enemy a Kilometer away from you and shooting on you, you would never hear his gun. If you understanding what i mean.

I can try to rework the Config a bit, so the Range of the Helicopters not so long anymore... or i should make them a bit lower in volume.

Donn't change the Helo sounds, I think it's just proper according to my real military experience, uless the PLA helo's sound volume is quite different with US's ones!?

Yeah, I've tried the HARCP which is really cool. But sadly it currently only support the Chernarus and Utes map, still expecting an update version which could support the Takistan and other more maps.

Please forgive me mine noobish question, but i've noticed that Mk17SD in "Laser Show" mission sounds pretty much the same like MK17 without suppressor,

is this a bug or something not finished, because vanilla Mk17SD sounds suppressed ?

When a helicopter is coming into LZ on top of you, sound is awesome. Problem I'm talking about is helicopters 200m-400m away drowning out all sound on map.

LordJarhead, you've got some great sounds in the mod, good work.

As mentioned, if you'd like some of my original samples to work from for the M230, supersonic cracks, etc. then just ask - they are good quality samples and authentic.

Also, the fix for the MK.17 CQC playing unsuppressed sounds is quite simple, ensure you include the modes[] = line in your class definition as shown below:

   class SCAR_H_CQC_CCO_SD : SCAR_H_CQC_CCO {
       modes[] = {"SCAR_H_SD_Single", "SCAR_H_SD_FullAuto"};
	class SCAR_H_SD_Single : SCAR_H_Single {

Have a short question.... what does this means:

supersonicCrackNear[] = {"\JSRS_Sonic_Cracks\supersonic_crack_close", db-20, 1, 300};

Is that the Volume? And when i turn this to db+20, 1, 300}; is this than louder as before?

I think that`s all so far. Not so much in some ways. Most is config work. Most really interesting things are the new Soniccracks, Movement/Gear Sounds and the Vehicles maybe. Oh, and the MK17 SD of course... now this thing is working!

have a question Lordjarhead: um did you change an reworked the sound for BMP-2 2A42 an BMP-3 autocannon be more louder?
