Newbie - "Eye For An Eye" Scenario
Hi There,
I'm new. An old guy who should be doing other stuff. But the graphics and immersion of this game have got me hooked. I'm starting with the "Eye For An Eye" scenario. Anyone got any hints? So far I haven't managed to succeed - I get one of my guys KIA and the scenario ends in failure. Also, not sure about some of the mission objectives - what does "Extraction" mean in this context? If someone could clarify the objectives that would help. And is there any way to increase the ammo allowance for this scenario? Thanks in advance for replies. |

First of all, there is a glitch that will prevent the extraction truck from picking you up if you quit the mission and Resume it. You can Revert, but not Resume.
Extraction means escape. If you have completed the other objectives and haven't triggered the glitch, you can call Petya's truck using the radio shown on your map screen. Then get everyone in the truck and you will be driven to safety. The key is to switch to your Scout with the Dragunov (press T) and thin out the Chedaki from the hilltop. Most importantly, you have to maneuver so you can kill the static machine gun crew in front of the church. If you then approach from the west side of the town (the right flank), you won't be doing much heavy fighting and will need very little ammunition. There is a crate full of different weapons and ammo in the large barn, but it is heavily guarded and will put you right in the middle of the enemy where you don't have to be. Your team will probably get shot unless you leave them behind. To destroy the BRDM, just crawl up to it and plant a satchel charge. The collaborator is dressed as a civilian and running around with the rest of the enemies. You will probably shoot him by accident. |

Hi Maturin
Thanks for this swift response. That's handy info - I appreciate it and will act on it. I was already thinking of approaching from the far right, so will proceed with that plan. Now I have a better idea of what to do - thanks again and all the best. |

you can exchange your weapon with the marksman during briefing.
There are weapon crates in the factory on the far left of village, but watch out people on the rooftop. With GP25 you should able to ambush the reinforcement easily by a few shot on the truck. Just watch out the heavy MG next to the church, and BRDM itself. (It has gunner sometimes.) |

Get to the Big factory/barn looking building. I think even one of the guys in your squad says to check it out when you get close. Exchange your weap and get an RPG launcher.. take a couple reloads,
Kill machine gun guy with your scout, fire RPG at BRDM, the crew will leave it, kill them, then run up and plant charges.. Ive not had luck sneaking up to it... thas why I used RPG... |

Going to the building is unnecessarily risky when there is another ammo crate with RPGs near a truck just to the north of BRDM. The truck has ammo too and everything is behind some breastworks that provide cover.

That's what I used too. It worked well assuming that you watch your flanks.
