Operation Arrowhead Question

I did a search for this on the forums, with default search settings. Could not find a thread that answered my question. I know its been asked before, but nothing related came up. I did find this but it would be really cumbersome to go through 231 pages of replies to find only one question.

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthrea...stion&page=231

When OA is released can I still play Arma 2 vanilla even after I installed and bought Arma 2 OA? Can we make a forum now for this game or create a thread that resolves this in this channel?

For example...
{
Thread Title: Operation Arrowhead Common Questions.

Question:There are no donkeys involved with OA Standalone Expansion?

Answer:Correct!

Replies in this thread are asked and answered then moved up to the original post.
}

Edited had a typoo!

Your question is slightly confusing, but if you mean that after you install OA can you still play vanilla Arma 2, then yes. OA is standalone meaning that you can have OA and Arma 2 installed as if they were two entirely different games (like having left 4 dead and left 4 dead 2 installed)

For this purpose you should just consider OA to be ArmA 3.

Thank you for the reply Bulldogs. In the case of my situation, its not like the way they did it like Arma 1 Queens Gambit? So I would have to basically install Arma 2 in one directory and Arma 2 OA in a seperate directory?

not fully true since OA is an standalone EXPANSION...it is plannes that you can install AO as standalone or as an expansion to ArmA2...so that old units and maps from ArmA2 will be integrated and updated into the OA install.

Just because the fact that the Operation Arrowhead thread has 231 replies is too much for you means not you can start another thread for your question.

Please use the existing thread for all OA question and discussion.
