All patches are 'Either in unknown format or damaged'

I am running Windows 7 64bit and just installed Arma 2. I just completely redid my OS and HD so theres no way I have any type of virus.

Before I had the beta version of Win7 and had no problems playing Arma 2 or using any of the patches.

I downloaded 1.01-1.05 and each time I tried to extract with Winrar OR 7zip,
I got the same error message:

! C:\Users\Tyler\Documents\Downloads\ARMA2Update_105 .rar.file.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged

As I said before, I've never had this problem before, I used to play Arma 2 ALL THE TIME. And had so many mods and stuff, I never had any problem using them or updating.

If anyone has had this problem or has ANY idea what I could do to fix it, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks so much in advance,
Tyler

**I also forgot to mention, I actually bought the game. This is not downloaded.

*******FIXED*******
After looking at all the files that were downloaded, I realized that none of them were full files.
Apparently I was getting disconnected/reconnected from the internet without knowing it,
so the download would just stop and not tell me that it didn't finish, which was causing
the obvious problem of being corrupted.

Sounds more like a problem with the decompression program or the compressed file itself. Did you try a new download?

You mean a new winrar download or patch dl?

Well I guess it doesn't matter, because I reinstalled winrar and i've reDL'd the
patch probably 5 times.

Try new Patch download first...I get such messages with corrupt files only that can happen frequently with large downloads or to much of copying them over from one medium to another.

See thats the problem tho. Ive DL'd the 1.05 patch probably twice from armaholic, and then once from 3 or 4 other mirror sites on the official Arma2 site. Nothing has worked, I've received the same error each time. I'm currently dl'ing again so I guess i'll try once again.

I have tried 1.05 from 3 different sites and none worked. The 1.04 from armaholic didn't work either.

Could also be overclocked system that's giving hickups?
I'd try a different download to another pc, check if it extracts there.
Then copy it over to the win7 system and check if it extracts there.

If you are running an overclock: remove it.
If you just added x GB of new memory to your system: remove it.
Test if it extracts correctly then.
If it does: you need to fix some hardware problems/not run overclock.

*EDIT* Ok so it simply was the download :-)
