Mage 10 Posted May 23, 2010 Hello everybody, I am trying to use an arma1 car in arma2 and the driver looks like he's sitting on the roof, kind of, like his torso sticking out of the roof. I contacted the creator and said I need to port it to arma2 and that he doesn't do this stuff anymore. Doing some research, I managed to depbo the car and got the config.cpp file, but I'm not sure where to start. What part of the config defines the way the player is sitting in the car? If anybody knows that'll be great help. Kind Regards
mankyle 372 Posted May 23, 2010 sadly you have to edit the p3d, the car's 3d model, and adjust the driver proxy position. Unless you have access to that's p3d MLOD (the editable version, i.e. non binarized) you won't be able to adjust the drivers position
[aps]gnat 28 Posted May 24, 2010 Mankyle is right but part of the config defines which particular static posture the driver will use, ie where the hands go etc. by changing the posture animation you *may* get a position where hes in the car. Sorry, on holidays and cant remember the exact config line that defines it, but you will find in mentioned many times in any copy of a standard BIS config.
