ARMA2IL community , IDF addon!

Hello all,

I am pleased to inform you about the IDF Addon, made by RoDeX and Goldenfiver.

We started to build to addon in the 22/1/10.

In the begining we assumed that to build an addon is impossible. but now, after allmost 5 months of hard work, we are sure that we can start publishing the addon very easly now.

We made 2 versions of download, and the next one (Maybe be the finished one) is coming out this month.

Version 1.0 (publish time: 16/2/10):

Version 1.1 (publish time:20/2/10)

A version of bugs fix and a Remake of the soldiers skins:

Looks good, but you might want to fix those images, they're well over the 100Kb limit :)

As i gathered there are only 2 people working on this, right?

Are you guys focusing on the retexture-stuff mostly or do you plan on some custom model to be added in the future?

Some minutes ago I have posted in the uparmored Hmmwv thread and seeing this topic I came to think about the Memugan; or other variants; which surely be an interresting and exotic addition.

Via retexture you can always make a Megen David out of the stock A2 ambulance ;)

We dont have the experience of modeling. so we just reskin all the things that connected to the IDF and the IAF (Israeli Air Force). you all can see the choppers/planes that are in service in the IAF, and some that are not any more in service.

We didnt think about the ambulance, let me talk with goldenfiver about adding one :)

Got any suggestion for the mod?

All we need now is a Beirut map & a Hezbollah army for the game! Im not wanting to flame with saying that or wanting to start some political argument, but I was glued to the TV when all that kicked off a few years back so think it would make a good mod :)

Oh and edit, I would love to see a Merkava in Arma 2!

We already have some flags and signs (even hamas ones), the only problem is we can't get them to work as an addon.

Version number 2 for the UH-1Y (There is a pic at the main topic that show Version number 1, we got 2 versions here).

I'm still curious about that Cobra. I know it's not the current AH-1Z Vanilla ArmA 2 model, because the Z has 4 blades, and yours has 2.

No mate, we didnt. but we wont do any way. we worked on the Spitfire and we think thats enogh for 1946 times :)

Nice re-skins and all, but it would be nice if there were actually custom Israeli equipment modeled..
