Mouse Sensitivity Issues

Me again, I've been suffering with this awhile, and was wondering if anyone had a fix, I can't seem to find one.

My mouse sensitivity is frustratingly high, even with cursor speed set rather low. The ingame mouse sensitivity settings dont seem to work, as when I decrease my sensitivity at all my mouse will begin to stop and start responding at random.

Running GOTY edition in windows 7.

I'm guessing that the ultra-high mouse sensitivity you're talking about is causing you to spin around in circles when you try to look around?

Do you also find that some key presses (especially toggles such as F for walk) intermittently fail to register?

What is your mouse's dpi? This is whats ultimately controls how fast the cursor moves at lease using XP. The in game settings seems to determine how fast it reacts to mouse movement.
