    Question Defining new vehicles and gear in description.ext

    can it be done?

    i mean, it would be VERY useful to be able to define new items and variants of vehicles and weapons on the description.ext file...

    imagine the possibilities... is it doable or this is something for the wish-list?

    No it's not doable. For each variation of a weapon (e.g. optics) you need to create a new model and hence an addon. Same goes for vehicles.

    i didn´t mean a model addon... i was just wondering about an alternative config for tweaked values and such...

    is it possible then?

    Not without an addon, though it wouldn't be a farfetched idea IMO for a future installment of ArmA/RV engine.
