This has been asked a few, but dosnt explain my problem (Texturing)

Hi all. Ive read the sticky "How to make an addon from scratch" thread. But it dosnt show how to texture the paa files. Im trying to make a re-skin for the Chinook, but its in the paa file. And i dont know how to re-texture the example you get with it when you download the addon

Sorry to keep posting threads like this lol.

    Thanks

    Not sure I understand.
Use TextView2 and load the PAA.
Save the PAA as a TGA file
Open the TGA and edit in any paint program
Use TexView2 to load the TGA and save it back to a PAA file
    Done?

By the way, you can usually increase resolution without a problem.
eg, if the original file was 1024x512, you could re-make the TGA as 2048x1024 and save it back to a PAA
The model should accept the new texture without problem.

use texview from BIS tools to convert to TGA, then edit with your preffered image editing software (GIMP or PS i guess)

    edit:
