Thread: setup.exe has caused errors.

  1. #1
    Hey guys,

I just formatted and am resetting opflash up on a win2k system. Everytime I try to run install off the CD is get's 3 quarters through the install then setup.exe creates an error and the install crashes. I am totally stuck for ideas, as this is a totally clean system.

    Any ideas?

    What's the error?

    Have you installed SP1 and/or SP2 yet?

Let's clarify that. Does it generate an error and some sort of error dialog, or does it simply exit without doing anything?

There are cases where the SafeDisc copy-protection code misbehaves, and all you'll get are the Flashpoint splash screen in the center of the display, some disk access on the CD drive, and then the installer exits. Is that what you are talking about?

get's close to the end of the install status, then a windows message "setup.exe has created errors and will now close" and it all ends in tears.

And it just keeps on happening.
