Can\'t install patch 1.3

Ok i tryd everything, completely deleted flashpoint from disk, installed again, upgraded to 1.2 tryd to upgrade to 1.3 and he keeps asking for correct cd. disabled DMA for HD & CD-rom, still wont work. Downloaded ultimate upgrade & the two seperate files and both wont work.

i have an MSI MS-6163 V3 with Ver bm5.6 bios

Seems nobody knows the awnser to my problem.... Its not my cd because i tryd it on another pc and it works perfectly, could it be that the dvd drive can't read the digital signature?

I don't think it has anything to do with your DVD player. I have the same problem on a VIA chipset machine with no DVD player, only a CD-ROM drive (system specs PIII-733EB, 512 meg RAM, WinME, DirectX 8.0). When trying to patch from 1.20 to 1.30, I get the "Insert Correct CD-ROM" message. I haven't had any problems patching other games on this machine, however, so it seems to be OFP-specific.

I have the same problem now. And after getting NO help at all from the tech suport phone line I am going to try and replace the cd i have. I found a person on game spy that said he had this happen and he had a bad cd. Not sure if that will fix our problem or not. But it is the only answer I have so far.

Replacing the CD doesn't help. I have both the US and European edition and neither of them will work when installing the patch (unless both my CDs are bad...don't even go there).

Hey I have that same chip set in my system and same problem. Did 1.29 install ok but no other patches including 1.30?
I have done all the things you have also and its still a no go.

I have been E-Mailing Codemasters ***for week now and we go back and forth with system info DX info. They have told me on the phone that there limited with they Tech support about OFP because most of the guys didnt use the patches to see what problems can come up.

I was advised the only patch they will support is 1.30 because all others like we know where beta patches.
And because Codemasters didnt produce this game they where contracted to do the Tech support and marketing because of their larger companys support system which Bohemia Interactive lacks.

I have as of today E-mailed Bohemia Interactive with copys of all the e-mails I have with codemasters and have asked them to get involed with this seeing they need to stand up to the plate and help to to repair this issue we all have about their patching software. If I get no answer then it only shows what type of company they really are and would be a sad day when software companys producing such an fantastic games like OFP really are just in it for the return on their investment. What a second thats what most companys are in it for...darn for a split second I thought some guys really liked coming up with this stuff and making a buck afterwards was icing on the cake.

Anyway one more thing those people told me ..They wished more people would call or e-mail them about the problems they have that way they would find about them faster and could correct the problems. He did say they advise people to use the fourm also when there stuck.

Hope we can patch soon I cant play online with the 1.30 ppl

Below is a part of an e-mail sent to me form Ron with Codemasters showing how importent it is for all of us to call or e-mail them about this problem...seeing that they have never seen this before..........

( I am not ignoring your suggestion that there might be a problem with our Copy Protection, but we would still need to figure out what you have that is triggering it. Remember, we have sold an awful lot of these games that have never triggered any such problems)

So as you see from above Ron is trying to find the problem to why the patch is giving me the "Insert Correct CD-ROM" message. And if nothing ***else by the time we figure out how to fix it RED HAMMER will be out and take care of this for us.....I hope.

Well the packs going to cost what 14.00 bucks or so?
Heck I spent that much on the phone bill trying to figure this out.

If it doesnt work then I'll go out and buy me an X-BOX for Chirstmas and give up on four years of PC gaming.....

Sure will miss all those porno web sites....lol
