    Artillery Module: incoming sound

    I was playing around with the arty module the past days and am missing the incoming sound of a shell.
    It actually explodes like a ordinary grenade without coming from high above.
    So i miss sth...or is that sound really not implemented.

    Would it be an option for you to add it into one of upcoming patches...although i know it is noting really important.

    Did you use physical Artillery or just virtual artillery...because I can always here it comming with real artillery pieces somewere...especially with MLRS.

    I use real artillery, means i call an ammo loaded Mortar by

    But i dont hear a incoming sound....so when u say u hear sth, i think i miss sth...

    If its not ACE adding incoming sounds on SADARM then its ARMA2 itself. Even the latest beta maybe. After i installed the latest beta i can hear incoming swoosh on SADARMS but no other ammo.

    Might be ACE as well - im not sure. Would be nice to have whistling sounds on MLRS as well.

    Ckecked this morning again, without any mods, any default virgin settings.
    I can´t here any incoming sound.
    To be honst i never heard an mortar flying but i expect at least to hear a kind of beep or sth....


    Atm Ari (with mortars) is very similar to IEDs explosing with detonation only.

    SADARM has had incoming sounds, since ever I think. Maybe also Laser, not sure. One of the single player missions have mortar incoming sounds, but then it is "faked" using scripted say and not part of the shell.

    High velocity shells tend to sound awful. These sounds are already recorded with a builtin doppler effect, and when the engine adds its doppler effect to them, it just turns out sounding badly.

    Keep an eye out guys. A soundmod is being made (already made but some extra to add in) wich will have hardcore impact sounds plus incoming ones for arty.

    I'm eagerly awaiting this mod too. I've been playing around with the artillery module a lot too and somewhat surprisingly there are no incoming sounds to any artillery, afaik.

    Wish there was proper inflight sounds for arty also.
