    Try to add -cpuCount=4 to your shortcut.

    Hi EricD,

    i think it has sometingh to do with this problem http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=94601
    if I'm not wrong most of the user involved has i7 processor, and probably win7.

    only thingh we can do for now is voting here http://dev-heaven.net/issues/8746 and hope they will resolve the bug fast , they're trying to improve the game of course but they can't do miracles but I'm sure they're working hard

    I have an i7 Core 920 CPU and i don't have the problem, i run WinXP 32bit.

    So maybe problem is Win7 which ArmA 2 seems to have a lot of problems with already.

    @massi

    The ticket you linked to is about CTD, Eric's problem is that the game freezes a lot!

    I have an I7 920, too, running Win 7 64 bit and don´t have the problem, either.
    Gotta admit, game feels faster/ smoother when only turning around then when moving.
    Setting HDR- Prescision to 32 made it much smoother for me!?

    Look under Documents\ ArmA2\ ArmA2 config
    There you can change your HDR- Setting (default is 8), setting shader- quality to 100 makes the game look much crisper, too
