    1.5 steam rollout

Is there any plans to roll 1.5 out on steam?

all the other patches were done on release day this has been weeks!

I know I can install it manually (and I have) I just like how steam automagically updates stuff for me...

Sometimes you just have to do things for yourself.

From what I've gathered, patch 1.05 removes Steam DRM dependency - so there is a possibility that it won't be rolled out on Steam at all.

Marek said somewhere (dont have time to search for it) that to update the files on steam would mean that all steam users would have to download approx 5 GB of data. Since the patch its self is only 100mb or so (i forget exactly) its much nicer to use the patch instead of steam.

IIRC they are investigating a way to distribute the patches via steam without the user having to download the entire pbo, just the new data.

You're right. Here's Mareks post on the subject.
