    Can someone help me with my video setting?

    Hi, just got a new computer:
    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
    XFX nVidia GTX260 Core Edition
    Gigabyte EP45-UD3R Motherboard
    2x2GB 1066Mhz Ram with heatsinks

    Just couldn't get a satisfactory setting (good visual and high FPS), so could everyone please help me out?

    Disable PhysX from nVidia settings.
    Keep your resolutions right for your screen.
    Take AA off.
    Video memory should be default.
    Comp: WIN XP32 Pro, 3gigs of memory dual channel, Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Dual Core, GeForce GTS250.
    ArmA2 frames right now: 10-13FPS, no matter what settings. 400x300 window, all OFF. 1280x1024 full, all maxed.

    With all the about hundred custom tips (that promised to give me frame or few frames more), this is where I'm at right now. Sometimes at Utes island I get 5 FPS more thou...

    Nvidia Control Panel:
    -Disable PhysX.
    -Set Texture Filtering Quality to Performance.
    -Activate Triple Buffering (if VSYNC is on - it is by default).

    ARMA2 Config file.
    Set below lines like this:
    GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;
    GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

    or

    GPU_MaxFramesAhead=0;
    GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=0;

    They give better/faster/smoother mouse control wich also makes the game feel faster/better FPS.

    In-Game:
    -Set proper resolution and no "im invincible resolutions".
    -If you have 1GB video ram then set the Video Memory to DEFAULT (see post under this!), if between 512-896-ish then HIGH.
    -Set 3D Resolution to 100%
    -Set AA & AF to NORMAL.
    -Shadows to NORMAL (you can probably set them to high, but you gain some at normal).

    And the Terrain Detail plus Object Detail (grass and drawdistance of objects) you can play with back and forth to find your best. NORMAL is perfectlly fine. Even LOW on grass. My pc dies when looking through it with a scope. I have it on LOW plus using "Kju's LowVisual" addon wich gives me all FPS back in that situation.

    What I don't like about Arma 2 is the terrain detail. Between normal and very high there's not a lot of difference. I run it on high - very high settings and the plants, bushes and trees still look awful. The trees kind of like someone's got a paint brush and dabbled the foliage on.
