    1.05 new patch error message

    I just installed the 1.05 update for arma 2. As it finished i loaded it up and tried it but it won't load up and it freezes and crashes in a matter of seconds. I get this error message when i try it.

    I was getting this as well while trying to load "Trial by Fire". I disabled ACE2 and it stopped happening.

    Deactivate ACE 2. It's not so compatible that we thought.
    ArmA2.rpt after that crash: http://pastebin.com/d12fb27c5

    => UH1Y is broken with 1.05 and ACE 2

    Shit I got this error too but the game didnt even get to the loading screen.

    I DON'T have ACE 2 MOD installed but I do have Binko's US ARMY MOD and the Special forces unit pack with the terrorists and all.

    Should I remove the mods??

    Arma 3 Alpha is amazingly stable for me lots of good fixes BIS! Highly looking forward to beta and full release!

    Remove all mods, try to launch the game. If it works start adding your mods back one by one.

    One error for this might be the new class for the UH1Y
    Reported it on dev-heaven (ACE 2): http://dev-heaven.net/issues/show/7272

    After trying a few start-up parameters seems if you include -world=Empty or -world=Chernarus it loads CFMod OK
    try this.

    Taking all of my mods made the error go away, now im going to put them back on, I swear if i can only play the game vanilla without mods im going to uninstall it!

    Damn civilian error!

    Yeah blame BI for patching the game when the error is caused by a community addon

    Take a pill bro, the patch hasn't even been out for 24 hours. Most (if not all) of these teething problems will get sorted in short order.
