1. ## binPBO - errors & solutions thread

Good evening fellow sufferer,

the intention of this thread (as i imagine it) is to collect any possible error binPBO might throw at you, plus the appropriate solution for it.
Once it´s done request a sticky - hence eliminating the need of searching the whole forums for informations that mostly go under in a bazillion pages of other rubble.

Let me begin by posting the errors i actually have to fight with:

Old style material flags used - 1 (with texture path\path\name.paa)
Solution:Unknown - forum search didn´t help

Solution:Unknown - forum search didn´t help

Too detailed shadow lod in e:\zworkspace\cal68w\marker_mask_blue.p3d (0:0.690267 : 2725) - shadows disabled
Solution:self explanatory - will add exact solution once the modeler´s found out and told me how to fix

Warning: e:\zworkspace\cal68m\cal68_maskeblau.p3d:7.37007e-038 Face 65, point 139, face points 139,139,138 - very small normal 0,0,0
Solution:Unknown - forum search didn´t help

So much for a start.
I promise that searching the forums prior to opening this thread didn´t help.
I´ll (try to) keep the first post updated with any findings you guys are willing to share and/or other problems you are running into.

Old style material flags used
T_D said specific definitions are no longer to be used, like 'user value'.
Alt e or sth in o2. Remove value or set to 0.

If thats the right way to solve it, only BI can tell.

3. Old style material flags used
That warning appeared for me too, when porting one of my addons from arma1 to arma2. I've identified the flags 200, 201, 202 and 203 so far

Setting the lighting option to "normal" will fix this message, for these four ones.

4. The old style material flags also occur when you had a "user" value for the faces (not sure about vertices). Once I set them all to 0 in the addons I was porting those errors cleaned up.

its in Lods without Textures , shadow, geometry, fire geometry ect.

To be precise, those are binarize / RPT errors.

BinPBO is just the front end GUI to run binarize and the file pack tool things.
