    Thanks for your hard working.
    I have installed the server, the performance is lower then windows, CPU has 4 cores, but only 1 core working, after 10 minutes, then Server crashed, I have to kill the pid and restart server.
    I didn't post the message because many guyes has done that.
    I think your team has moved a big step even it's a alpha version, thanks again.

    Does the server create dump files, I guess so.
    So you better provide BI with your server configuration files,
    dump files and rpt.

    This looks like all these is due to the mission itself and NOT the server.
    These errors are mission scripts errors, from the look of it, nothing to do with the server OS.
    Try to see if you don't have the same on a Win server when playing the same mission

    Updated Arma II Linux Server 1.04 Public Alpha Build 59923 is available now for download.

    Please post your feedback to this thread. Thank you again for your help with the testing of the Linux server platform for Arma II!

    Most important fixes and improvements:

    1. Multicore (-cpuCount=N should have effect now, but it should work even without it)

    2. Low FPS when there are some burning fires
    * there was an important FIX in this area, but it should be tested more

    3. Multiple errors like:
    "colorCorrections" ppEffectAdjust [1, 0.8, -0.002, [0.0, 0.>
    Error position: <ppEffectAdjust [1, 0.8, -0.002, [0.0, 0.>
    Error Missing ;

    4. No Errors like:

    I the case of a dual CPU socket server (not multi-core system) could Arma2 server be enabled to operate on both CPUs rather than just one? Thanks

    This one is doing much better with regard to FPS atleast.

    It's using both cores on our server also.
    For around 75% of total available while running an AI vs AI crCTI.
    The FPS is still dropping though, will have to wait and see if it stabilizes.

    I mean it just do not work on single thread now, so when your server has more CPUs it should be recognized and used automatically. If not, you can experiment! You can even use something like -cpuCount=2 on singlecore server too, only the created additional thread will be running on the same CPU.

    also if you have CPU with HyperThreading please test if adding more threads than cores helps or actually degrade the performance ...

    also if anyone of you got hosted server on virtualized environment some feedback would be nice ...

    running latest linux server (Build 59923) on a dualcore atom 1,6 GHz; 1GB Ram; - just for testing

    2. Low FPS when there are some burning fires:
    not fixed for me:

    after mission start: cpu usage: 11-13% ; 49 fps
    00 min after spawning 1 Land_Campfire_burning cpu usage starts to rise slowly
    05 min 36% ; 49 fps
    10 min 100% ; 49 fps
    15 min 100% ; 20 fps
    25 min 100% ; 8 fps

    mem usage constant at 115 MB
    more fires -> faster fps drop

    Thanks I'll try that setting (-cpuCount=2) coz till now without it, Arma server only used 49% of CPU meaning that only grabbed one of the 2 CPUs available. Cheers
