Recommended addons?

Hello there,

Bought the game a few months ago but shelved it for being bugged at the time.
Now I think is a nice time to start it again but a lot has happened the last few months and I've lost track of addons.
I also want the first game I play to be awesome and I think addons are an important of achieving this.
So I was wondering if the community can supply me with their top 5 of recommended addons that allow for improved gameplay and immersion.

Because on ArmA Holic, they had a news update saying it will be released sometime in October?

How to answer your question ?
Each addon is different and addons makers spent a lot of their own spare time for free.
The best you can do for them is to download, test and give some feedback.

as i told in other topic
when you ask about something "what addon" than remember that every maker spends his time working hard and "challenge for someone" is demeaning to work of maker when you ask "what addon is recomended"
cause everone will say "my" naturally
so i will say MY - Polish army addon (Beta 0.94) and Project 85 huge content pack about cold war era and Alien APC + Colonial Marines + Pulse Rifle ...

and what now ? :P
you are newbie here, don't make community here to "choose what is better" cause if something is "better" than other person's effort is "worse"
my advice :P
cause i know how much time and skills are needed and how hard people work to make "free fun" which some demean, sometimes it is months of work, sometimes weeks, sometimes over year (i don't say about copy-paste addons)

So in essence you're telling him to download useless GBs worth of addons that the majority he may only ever use once and spend stupid amounts of hours downloading?



RAF Chinook is a very good addon and recommend it, try looking at the Royal Marine Commando ports that I worked on until so better British replacement units get released.

Vilas it's a simple mistake for a new guy to make. It's possible he is asking for a recommendation on addons that alot of people have used, liked, or that work great in MP.

OT: I would have to agree with Konyo about the USEC CH-53 (I'm not insulting Gachopin it's just that I'm looking foward to the USEC release) but I would also recommend that you try out Binkowski's Army '09 units, The P85 Mod, and also the Project RACS mod that will be releasing some stuff in the near future.

Side note: If you could post what kind of addons your interested in (A certain country or branch of the military perhaps) the community could better help you without insulting any addon makers or causing any arguments.
