Don't want to sound agressive but.. who are you? This hasn't been abandoned, something is in the works. Don't worry.
Sorry if I missed out who you are and what your relation is to this project but I'm following this half and half

I'm experiencing a bit of an anomaly myself with this excellent mod, specifically regarding the replacement (or lack thereof in this case), of the AKM/47 sounds.
Basically, the mod doesn't seem to for some reason, I know the sounds are there, and I've checked the wep_rifle.h and I don't see the problem.
For some reason the sounds aren't playing, and I'm stuck with the very... so-so sounds that are supplied with the game itself.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I thought it might be a conflict of some sort, however I've run the sound mod itself with nothing else and it seems that has no effect.
Well, the configs are wicked old, so maybe something changed with 1.60

I have a question regarding CSM2's usage of header files instead of .cpp files.
Is there any specific reason for it?
Are there performance issues with using them? (will the game run slower referencing header files)?
I've noticed that because of the usage of ".h" files instead of cpp/bin files, that certain legacy sounds (AKM anyone?) cannot be overwritten.
I'm just curious as to why Chammy decided to make his mod that way.
I know he's absent at the moment, so if anyone knows...
Hey all. I am back after a lengthy hiatus. Lots of family stuff and all. It seems like it never ends. Plus, I had to reinstall my OS and perhaps i will be buying a new processor. I just need to know which is the best but affordable. My Intel Quad Core isnt cutting it for ArmA 2 like I'd like it to. And I want to get ready for ArmA3. But I need some help getting motivated to finish these sound mods I promised to finish a long time ago. I was gettign some help last year but but I seem to have lost contact with him. I want t oat least finish what I have for Arma 2 and also hopefully it can be added to ArmA 3 by whomever can implement that when it comes out. in the meantime I might need a coach or something. With all that is going on in my life i seem to get slumped real easy when it comes to finishing personal tasks or projects. Plus, I want to get this done before I get shipped out to the CBP Academy...if I make it past my background investigation so wish me luck.
As Real as Possible...and I'm not talking about a condom...
Hang in there Chammy, I really hope you get some help with finishing the mod, I wish I knew more about configs and I would gladly help, I still use it and love it.![]()
