Well as mentioned previously, I was having the same CTDs as many here.
I Have now altered my ingame video settings to all be high rather than using default.
I am using the latest Nvidia driver 191.07
I am using the latest ArmA2 beta patch 59857
I am using -maxmem=2047 and -winxp
I have turned off HT in the BIOS setup.
So far so good. Early days, but I have not seen the stuttering and graphical problems and CTDs to date. I will continue to post here to keep all updated.
Thanks for suggestions everyone. This is what PC gaming communities are all about.

1 week later, after turning off the Hyper Threading for my I7 CPU in the BIOS setup., I can confirm that all is now alot better. So now I run ArmA2 with the following setup and this works well for me:
I Have now altered my ingame video settings to all be high rather than using default.
I am using the latest Nvidia driver 191.07
I am using the latest ArmA2 beta patch 59928
I am using -winxp and -maxmem=2047 in the command line to launch ArmA2
I am turned off v-sync in the NVidia settings for ArmA2
I have turned off Hyper Threading for my I7 CPU in the BIOS setup.
I can now play missions on multiplayer dedicated servers without crashing to desktop. Typically I am getting good FPS, anywhere between 30-60 even when a mission has many entities on the map, in fast moving vehicles, in urban areas and forests.
