Planes! do we really need them that much?

Hey guys! Recently I've been thinking about planes and have came up with few questions that were bothering me. Planes! Do we really need them and what can we do about it? Do we use them that much and r they so important? If im not mistaking there were only two missions where u had to fly the plane. What i don't like is that there no planes that could transport men, that way it would be cool to make paratroopers instead of jumping from the UH-60 or Chinook. And also when creating ur own missions, its kinda dumb!
So got any answers, i'll be also glad to hear ur ideas and suggestions about it! Well, till next time!

Well they look good for dressing up the airports and are good to call in for airstrike missions.

We really do need a transport plane though becasue its so stupid to have to parachute from a heli ATM

Well thats what i&#39;ve been saying. And about air support- chopers r much better in my opinion&#33;

Yes I defenetly think that chopers r way better than planes in air support and ground attacks, as to rescuing troops and providing support for them. U wouldn&#39;t be able to do the same with a plane, if only it was a cargo plane, that u could land; get in and fly away&#33; Also it&#39;s much easier to control the choper then a plane

IMO the planes/jets are great for making a nice atmosphere. When you&#39;re a lone downed west-pilot behind enemy lines. You board a vehicle and a Frogfoot passes by.....you don&#39;t feel alone at all

How many choppers do u know that carry a howitzer on board .... none ..... thankyou .. we need a c130 for air support and a hercules for troop transport k thx bye .

I like the planes but they should be tweaked to be more realistic. first off...the firing rates on the cannon are too slow. Second, both the A-10 and Su-25 can slave their guns to their targetting radar when attacking ground targets (i.e, you canactually target ground targets with the gun). Third and probably most important as far as the gun goes, it is mounted WAY too high on both these planes, making efficient strafing runs difficult at best. Other things can be improved of course, for example both these planes always carry 2 IR AA missiles for self defence Aim-9P/L/M for the A-10 and R-60/R-73 for the Su-25. The joystick control already has been improved (Thanks BIS&#33;&#33, but it still could use a lot of work, especially rudder...I&#39;d like to be able to use the rudder in flight thanks, not just when taking off .

I always wanted some AA missiles for both planes and choppers. Maybe u can change what ur aircraft or chopper will carry, like all air/ground missiles, rocket number etc.
Planes can change the wave of a battle. A-10 can take out 2 plattons of T-80 and the Su-25 can destory a shitload of NATO tanks.
