Im told that this image is very distinctive to those that really know their stuff.
RD-33 engine (or an engine derived from one). I know of one very successful Russian plane you've already modelled which has RD-33s.
Less likely candidates are JF-17, or Denel's re-engined Mirage F1s and Cheetahs that never saw service but would all be pretty cool for Africanos.
