I think the biggest problem players tend to have with the AI is that the AI's "hearing" is so acute the players often tend to forget to walk and end up running everywhere , clanking , clanging and thumping down the cobblestone. May as well give them a boom box that keeps repeating over and over "I'm over here..I'm over here".
Even if you go prone and crawl without remembering to put you character into "walk" you move much faster and presumably make more noise.
I think this is what leads to the misconception that the AI can see through buildings and around corners.
IRL you don't run unless you're under fire , need the exercise or the drill sergeant is having a bad day.so why did BIS make running the default forward movement like you find in almost every arcade FPS?
