Arma 3 is a twitchshooter
Needs more rainbow six 1-3
Hey everyone,
I recently bought the game and I'm having issues with choppiness and framerate. I'm not really sure what the problem is (beyond the fact that my computer is showing its age) so any help would be appreciated.
My Specs:
Core 2 Duo E8500 @3.16 GHz
HD 4850 512 MB
2 GB RAM
Win 7
on those specs you have to run near minimum and still get low-ish fps sometimes, mostly in cities as the cpu really cant cope.
okay guys, the game works better now with anti allaising off, however, i really wanna play this game smoothly and on good settings...
what do i have to change and details to buy so i can play it better?
Win 7
3 GB Ram
QuadCore AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition 955, 3127 MHz
Motherboard Chipset nVIDIA nForce 7025-630a
GeForce GTX 460 (1024 MB)
if you want to play smooth on high settings you should buy an i5-2500K, Z77 mobo, 8GB ram, overclock it like mad and get a gtx670.
If you dont want to spend, overclock that cpu to 3.8 or 4 Ghz, that should help in towns and helps with model detail and viewdistance. You could get a new gpu like the 7850 but that will not help you in the big cities.
Regarding my issue, I had a 2GB video card. That's why I was lagging. If you have a 2GB video card, set your video memory to VERY HIGH!
I really hope I fixed it, so far so good!!!!
Core i7 920 @ 3.995 GHz, HT off
12 GB OCZ DDR3-1600
GTX 680
2x Intel X25-M 80 GB SSD
Windows 7 Pro x64
ArmA2/OA Settings:
1920x1080 w/ View Distance at ~3600
Video Memory at Default
MSAA Very High, AToC=0, SMAA Ultra
Post Processing at Very Low
All other settings at Very High
I'm running :
I7 2600-k
8Go DD3
2x 6950HD 1Go
on W7 and have terrible overheating problems on the gfx's, as much as 80+ C°, fans working at 3200RPM to cool it ... my settings are mostly on low / normal for 1920*1080 screen ...
People simply have to admit Operation Arrowhead is terribly done.
I have a question, I can play operation arrowhead fine, but when I launch Combined Ops I lag like hell! I can run fine on VERY HIGH in OA. Anyone?
80 C is quite normal for a gpu. Also, dont blame games for graphics cards overheating, not even the starcraft 2 main menu which is a bit like furmark

not a clue, combined ops and arrowhead is the same only with more content loaded.
