    Just tried this and all my microstuters are now gone.

    Do all the Direct3D effects work while in a 2D mode, when I tried it it looked very plain compared to normal gaming, It didn't make any difference to fps either.

    Hmmm I haven't noticed any difference ... well EXCEPT the removal of microstutters.
