trucker phucker thats for nvidia card users ... the op has an ati graphics card.

Try Catalyst 9.7 the newest driver maybe that helps.
    Maybe rollback your .cfg files

Isnt this the regular 8GB ram problem?

Do you use the "-winxp" flag in your shortcut to arma2? You need to, as far as i know, when you have 8GB of RAM.

lot of people are complaining about this on the Ati forums, you should check their forums. This could be due to above, too much overclocking, too much heat, not enough power supply.

Visiting Ati forums really scared me into not buying Ati for my next upgrade. I may swallow the extra cost and get nVidia card, will have to research more.

and then there is me and everybody i play with that has a ATI card, 512mb or 1gb that do not have a issue at all... Hmmmm i guess its the 8gb issue...Like anybody posting the issue is ever going to use 8gb of system ram for anything...If they have to ask(about the issue) then they dont use VM, or do uber encoding, or run a RAM drive, let alone know anything about a scratch disk..., More poor saps who buy way too much ram for next to nothing in cost, to go along with there under performing Vidcards for there 24in LCD that they think can run this game. Stop the maddness. Pull our a few gigs of ram and be happy.

its not a problem with my computer.... ive been playing this game for months with no problem. i try playing it yesterday, this occurs. my video card is only 60 degrees when i play ARMA 2 and 45 degrees while idle. power supply is 620 watts and is enough to power half of manhatten probably haha. it is a problerm with ARMA2 just like the same problem was in ARMA 1.

looks like operation flashpoint might be the better choice i guess
