Quad SLI (Two Questions)

Ok, I'll have to settle for a normal viewdistance with my current technology. The fact that the cpu limits performance for that parameter makes sense to me. However, if I drop viewdistance to 3000 and up my settings from low to very high, performance is still lacklustre. In town, and in the wilds, I can only expect between 20-30fps, which is happily playable, but it's not close to smooth like some other hardware configurations are getting - texture loading in particular is very sluggish.

I don't know if there is still a problem with the 295. It sucks that it's taken this long for it to get sorted at this point because it isn't a general SLI problem. Town will bring me into the 30's but I can still get 100+ in the wilds.

Hope it gets sorted for you mate :)

I cant seem to solve the flashing whites, black textures, blocky textures, unless I use the -winxp command. I have this problem both with SLI off, and with Quad SLI ON.

I dont like the -winxp command is I think it hurts framerates (by limiting ram usage to 2GB)

Any other ways other GTX295 and 8GB+ ram users have solved the texture problem?
