ver 1.30 booting back to window screen

i installed ver 1.30 from 1.20 and any misson keeps booting back to window screen. Ver 1.29 worked perfectly while 1.20 had same problem as 1.30. ***have an amd 400, 196 megs of ram, voodoo 3 2000, ensonic sound card. Running windows 98 direct x 3.1
Any help would be great, thanks

that's old man!!
you need at least directx 7 or 8

yeah....i get booted back to windows everytime i play an online game with 1.30

DX 3.1? - hey man - what time you
started your pc last? - go for the latest
DirextX version - at least you could install
it from the OFP CD (not the latest version,
but late enough for OFP)

I get the same bloody problem!!! It always crashes whenever I play multiplayer. It says "receiving file" immediately followed by "shutdown.." What the heck is wrong?
