You might want to explore other possible causes, as it's impossible for TrackIR 5 to fry a MB. All ports are protected with power limiting chips and fuses. You could even directly short the connector and it should still be OK. Not to mention that the power TIR draws isn't severe enough to toast it. But, if you're still concerned that your TrackIR 5 is the cause of this problem, please feel free to contact us about getting it replaced. We'd be happy to test your current unit out and send you a new unit, so you can feel safe in using it with your new system.

Oh snap. Did you tell NP? Is this some sort of common problem or something?

I've never heard of this happening to any user in the last 8 years or so. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
