would it be possible to use an external MP3 file as part of a mission soundtrack?
All my OFP missions can currently be found here. (All of them are the zip files. More to come!)

Hi, I use MP3's in my missions...

First I convert them to WAV format in 22hz/16bit/MONO <-- using mono will cut the overall size in 1/2!!!!

Then, if it is to be a radio transmission I open it in something like AcidWav (because it's free) and add some distortion. Otherwise I simply take the wav and drag%drop it into this program:

"ogg_converter.zip" <---Do a search here or at:
http://www.ofpeditingcenter.com/cgi-bin/yabb/yabb.pl
It's been so long I forget where this file resides. Problem finding it... you can email me.

Once you have it OGG format you can use one of these sample mission to see how to use in your mission:

Hey, they are no mp3's if you convert them..

The point here, I think, is that you can't use media that is in mp3 -format.
But of course you can convert it so that you can use it.

Here we see Aculaud asking basically if he can use some of his MP3 in a mission, and more than likely if the answer is 'yes', then would like to know how this is accomplished...

True

ah see I was right... he would like to know how this is done.
I believe I filled in the details... but I suppose a egg is no longer a egg once you have scrabbled it right?
