Sounds bit weird mate.
I have no problem selecting one team member and get him to do things. Do you mean you press F5 to select him or "aim" and press mouse button to select? Tested both of these and it works for me. When i press injured i get a medic to come and fix me. Not everytime though. Depends what status the medic is in i guess and also depending a bit if injury sim modules are used.
Can you test again and tell me how you do it step by step. And what mission/campaign you did it in. Or if you do it in the editor - what modules are used etc. And explain the situation like what state the AI is in (like danger, safe etc). And ill try to reproduce and help you.

Seems easier sticking it in one thread since it's pretty much the same problem.
