    Well thx a lot dude

    but when i open the config file i get this :

    language="French";
    adapter=-1;
    3D_Performance=19231;
    Resolution_Bpp=32;

    I know i have to change '32' but what would correspond to 800x600 ??

    hmm.. the 32 is just the color depth...

    this is what i have in my Arma2.cfg

    language="English";
    adapter=-1;
    3D_Performance=93750;
    Resolution_Bpp=32;
    Resolution_W=1152;
    Resolution_H=864;
    refresh=30;
    Render_W=1329;
    Render_H=726;
    FSAA=2;
    postFX=1;
    HDRPrecision=8;
    lastDeviceId="";
    localVRAM=777191424;
    nonlocalVRAM=1341390848;
    winX=2;
    winY=18;
    winW=1680;
    winH=968;
    winDefW=1768;
    winDefH=968;
    mind though... my refresh rate is 30 as i am using a LCD TV... so if you are using a monitor you might want to change that to 75.
    Also i am not certain the VRAM will work on your PC as i am using a 8800GTX (765 MB) with 3 GB RAM on Vista.

    perhaps pasting this into yours might do the trick? yours seems to be incomplete... which would indicate that you dont just get a black screen but NO screen... meaning the game doesnt even initialise...

    Damn it doesnt work

    what's the rez u are using ?

    maybe if i could get the config file of someone wh'os running it in 800x600
    or 1280x1024 it would work...

    try this:
    Resolution_W=1280;
    Resolution_H=1024;
    refresh=75;

    these would be average settings for a 4:3 CRT screen

    Well i use this res in other games and its fine but it still doesnt works in this one..

    I got a 40 inch Sony Bravia (widescreen), do u know if it's 16/9 or 16/10 ?

    Nevermind Dude i tried putting 800x600 in the lines u gave me and it worked !!!

    I love u man !!!! (well. not really but thx a lot ;P )

    well 1280x1024 is 4:3 if you have a widescreen it would be 1400x900 for example..BUT- even a 4:3 resolution should work albeit it would look stretched.

    what graphic card are you using?
    have you upgraded to the most recent drivers?
    maybe try reinstalling the game (i could be the installation went FUBAR)...

    edit:

    awesome . glad i could help
