Is it possible to EDIT an Island?

I want to make a Island i downloaded smaller for my personal use so it runs better.

And if it is possible, can someone give me an explanation on how to do so? Thx alot.

I have to use WrpEdit right?

You can't "resize" an island, ie make it smaller, but you can copy and paste part(s) of an island on another one.

WRPedit is the right tool IMO. Very well documented.

Hey man i appreciate the help so far, but i have no idea how to get started. I looked through for a tutorial on what i want to do but no luck.

I open up the WrpTool and i have no idea how to open the Island i want to Edit/Take a part from. I can open the regular ones like cain.wrp. Do i have to convert the PBO i have to wrp? Any indepth helpwill be very appreciated.

Im trying to take the city part of the Airworlf Land Island and thats it. Cant be that hard right?

This is like reading chinese right now.

    Hi,

editing takes some time in order to be familiar with tools and concepts. You must be patient and ready to learn a little.

You cannot open any pbo file with WRP tools, you can only open wrp file. So you need to find a depbo tool (lots of them around here), i use Pbox. A well known tool is eliteness (You can find it here in OFPEC)

Wow, im def. not in the state of mind for this right now.

I got the Eliteness but i dont even know which one in the Airwolf mod is the actual island.

If after i find the Island one, the list that comes out when it extracts i got to find the one that says .wrp after it right? Does this bring instructions?

Man this **** is pissing me off. Ive been at this for the past 3 hours.

I managed to rip the part of the map i wanted to, do i really have to create my own terrain or can i just drop this somewhere and have it be done with. This is really getting on my nerves.

I tried just deleting EVERYTHING else off the map that i didnt want and just keep the city. I saved and then try PBO'ing it use WINPBO but it starts working then it goes Not Responding, even though the bar fills up. I go back to the Mission Editors and my map is not there.

Can i just take this city i want and drop it in the middle of Everon, or desert?

    Well :

    (1) Open the map you wanna copy, go in the export cells menu, select the cells you wanna export, save the export file. Close the map.

    (2) Create a new map (just chose the size you want). Save the file. Import the previous exported file.

    (3) Take a beer : that's it.

EDIT : to see your new map ingame, read the manual of WRPtool, which is very well done.
