I've seen this post here b4, I just can't find it so I'll ask again. I can't seem to get the hang of this mission. I always make the convoy stop further back than I am so I can watch out for redhats. But it is just not working the way I would like it to. Any help would be appreciated once again guys.

Simple. GO SLOW!. Stay about 200 feet ahead of the convoy at a timne. And always sweep the ares with rocks, trees or houses. It mostly where the reds are. But as long as you stay ahead a bit and make sure you sweep it there is no problem. This is the order you should do it:

Take the M113
Start a sweep ahead .
When the convoy arrives tell the convoy to move.
Always stop them when they get right behind you. So that you can go ahead and sweep it clean.
When you get to the crossroads, tell them to take the aurdy path (i think its the east route, youll have to check it out.)
When the convoy reaches Aurdy, tell them to stop when they are in teh center.
Now they are safe until they ned to move again because AURDY is a NATO held town, (there are several NATO infantry men in there)
Sweep ahead all the way to the next town.
In that town, there is a T72, or T80 waiting just off the side of it (its on a low slope of the hill so you cant see it. Tell your LAW/AT soldiers to disembark to blow it up.
NOw go back to the convoy and tell them to move (stick with them incase you missed any of those reds.
When you reach that town again, be sure to stop them and sweep ahead as usual. Do that, and keep on going. There may be only 1-2 small groups of reds left. (near that one town they get killed cause NATO ppl kill em)
Kepp this up, and once you get into the fecne of the Airport, you are safe.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

titaniums got a good strategy, but id go with this one.

Take the HMMWV with yourself as the driver, and a machine gunner and any LAW soldiers you have. Then, the M113 should have your other team members in it, following you. Heres the plan:

Dont even tell the convoy to leave the first town. Theres no point in risking it until all hostiles are cleared, which is what you'll do. Go the whole way to the airport yourself first, clearing out all reds as you go. The arudy path does work well, its the one i beat this mission on with this plan. With you in the Hummer and your team following you in the M113, you'll be free to run over any soldiers you find, while the APC picks off everything you dont see with its machine gun. This works great. Around arudy, and i think durdan or houdan, which ever one comes after arudy, you'l face some armor. I think its a t-72, and some infantry. This is no problem if you equip yourself with a LAW and have you other LAW soldiers with you. The infantry can be dealt with by the M113. when youv'e secured the whole way to the airport, simply tell the convoy to take the route you secured, and wait for them to get there, completing the mission.
All my OFP missions can currently be found here. (All of them are the zip files. More to come!)

I took the northern-most route and never ran into any tanks at all.

Actually, what I did was to head north first and then turned right and headed to the airfield. Once I got there, two A-10s took off and shortly after I heard something explode... I never saw a destroyed tank either though, so I guess the route I took was clear of tanks.

I tried this a couple of times with m113, but couldn't work it out..
So this is what I did (in case that someone is interested.. )

I put two guys in the m113.
Me and the others just walked the whole thing.
I often left my group with the convoy, then moved
forward alone, or with a machine gunner.
Taking enemies out with M21 is pretty easy, IMO.

But the key is not to hurry.
Took about an hour or so to complete this mission.
And it was pretty cool, I think.

Did this mission the first time the same way and walked all the time
Something around 6 km and I expected enemies behind every bush. Was thrilling

God how I hated that mission!

I did the same thing titanium did. What a headache. That level was alot of work.

But instead, I got into a Humvee, and kept a few men in it, mainly law. Then kept ahead of the convoy. I would drive forward looking for enemies. As soon as I spotted some, I either dealt with them, or sent out the M113 to take care of them. I usually kept the M113 in front of the convoy. I would go up and drive around in the Humvee to spot enemies or draw their fire and then kill them.

I would not reccomend this tactic. It's a real headache starting and stopping the convoy all the time whenever I got a bad feeling. And worrying that I missed someone in some bushes who may attack the convoy. Staying ahead of it the whole time. Next time I would just clear the whole path first and then call in the convoy to go the whole path while I would drive in a jeep besides them.
