3rd Person View and Command View Bindings rarely work (Steam)

Hello Guys!

SET UP:

Steam's Release of Arma 2

Intel Core i7 920 @ 3.2Ghz

Intel Deluxe DX58SO Smackover Motherboard

Kingston 6gig DDR3 RAM (1333Mhz)

Gigabyte 2x GTX 280 Sli

1000W PSU

Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit

Logitech G15 Keyboard

Drivers: Nvidia 186.18 + EVGA Sli Enhancement Patch

Running Everything on Very high. No AA.

1900x1200

PROBLEM:

90% of the time pressing '[NUM] Enter' to get into third person view and '[NUM].' to get into command view does not work. This was true for both the demo and for the full release.

I checked if I had NumLock Off/On, but it made no difference. I also rebinded the keys to see if it would work for other bindings, but that did not work either.

QUESTIONS:

1) How do I fix this?

2) What does the command view look like anyway? (I have never seen it before)

If this problem can not be fixed then at least the positive side is that it adds to the realism HAHAHA! :cool:

EDIT: I was in control of my squad when I tried to access the command view.

EDIT (2): RESOLVED - I WAS PLAYING IN EXPERT MODE THUS IT DIDN'T WORK.

I have met that NUM (third person view) bug too m8 but didnt mention it here since I thought it was only my end (maybe key malfunction lol), dont know about command view though.

It seems related to latest patch (not sure)

on higher difficulty levels 3rd person views are disabled... could this be the issue?

I play in expert mode.

3rd Person view is disabled.

Command view must also be disabled. (It worked on Regular)

What a silly mistake.:eek:

I guess when I said, "90% of the time it doesn't work" was a real throw off for everyone.

I must have changed the difficulty down to regular during one of the testing sessions.:confused:

QUESTION:

How are you meant to finish the training in Expert MODE?! If you can't access the Command View?!

Then I must have been fooling around withthe difficulty settings too, hmm.

I will give this another look.

Also, I've done the f35 training missions 20 times and it never gets marked as "done" in the list. And zillion of other things.

I play in expert mode.

How are you meant to finish the training in Expert MODE?! If you can't access the Command View?!
