Is there a way I can reinforce my squads when away from the main base? I'm thinking of superpowers, once you take a town and your squad has been decimated. Going back to base to get your numbers up is a bit of a chore.

Fast travel seems to be the answer. I thought I was expected to lug it halfway back across the map till someone pointed out the fast travel.
Fast travel works...yes, but I personally do not like to use it because it kills immersion/realism for me...
A couple of Warfare mods made this easier...
1) There was a version that let you reinforce via paratroopers but gave you less control over the composition of the soldier's roles. This does not exisit in Superpowers yet, but will be made as a mod I bet.
2) The ACE radio system from ArmA 1 worked REALLY well, but this does not exist in ArmA II yet. This let you call for your Radioman and then call HQ to have reinforcements built. You could then command them to make their way to a rally point on the battlefield.
3) Enabling reinforcements at the camps/town capture points would be an easy mod to make also giving you the ability to call in forces, but they may or may not spawn in the town causing a possible game balance issue.
4) Fast travel as mentioned above will get you back to HQ to re-build, but you shouldn't have to leave a town just to pick up more troops, or bring in heavy support.

What is this fast travel that you talk about?
click on flag pole and choose the spawn position, which can be any MHQ. You are instantly transported there.
Or open your map, scroll to fast travel on map options, then pick a town that is highlighted with a circle.
