This tip should be on the ArmA2 Graphic on the Steam Store. Had no clue that it was patched already.

    Game works great!

Yup still i cant force a resolution either trough launch options.
    I tried

    -wm ( windowedmode)
    -w 1024 (sets res to 1024 x 768 )

tried simple things but all im getting is
    No signal detected.
I think the starting resolution isnt supported by my tv =[
    in arma2.cfg / arma2demo.cfg (located in my documents \ ARMA 2 \ or \ARMA 2 Demo \
    check entry
refresh=nn; where nn is number in Hz some people reported it autoset 75 on theirs 60Hz LCD or others outofrange for certain TVs

My error says no more than this...

    Code:
    ArmA 2 has stoped work
    Code:
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
    edit:

I have also deleted the ENTIRE steam folder and re-downloaded everything. After download I also verified the integrity of the files..

When I go to launch the game from steam it does the loadup checklist, screen goes black like its going to launch then it crashes and I get a "Shader not supported anymore" Message, I fucking hate steam any suggestions I really want to play

its your 8gbs of ram I'm guessing. Similar problems out there with other users running 8gbs. Take a stick out and see if it runs on 6gb with no graphical problems. If so, leave it out until they fix in patch.

I had no issue in the past with the downloaded demo, I feel steam is the issue to be honest..

Ticket submited on the DH site..

Dwarden I add you as a Steam contact, my steam username is hereticss. Tried the command line that did not work as well. Maybe we could sort this out on steam. Well atleast try.

    I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION!!

Alot of steam users will get a generic windows crash if the game fails to launch with steam.
However, when I went into the actual ArmA 2 folder and launced ArmA 2 straight from there, I got the error for x3daudio1_6.dll.

So hint to steam users. If your game is just plain crashing, launch it from the folder to get the actual error.
