    New Animation Loop Halfs FPS

Hey all I'm posting as i have found an 'issue'.

Standing still, i was checking FPS in a certain area (A roof in the middle of nowhere) but have tried this in 10 other places. I noticed that at the start of every idle animation (the gun swaying whilst just standing there) that u can clearly see the where the animation loops. This caused my fps to go from 52 to 19 for 2 seconds, before returning to 50-ish. Same goes for most other locations.

Anyone else having this problem? And plz can u fix it in the next patch.

this sounds very similar to a problem I am having, although I'm pretty sure its not to do with animations. But have a look anyway : http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=76214

When it starts happening, press escape and go to video settings and put your Shadows to Normal. See if that "fixes" it, report back. Thanks

Just did, didn't notice a HUGE change but there was an improvement. Now i just play with shadows off tho.

Seems to be a problem with scenery shading and High shadows. You could still use Normal shadows, game looks pretty bad with all shadows off.

Well i'm still actually tryin to figure out the best settings for nice visuals and nice FPS. Shadows dont bother me too much, coz lighting takes care of that (dark in forests etc) hope this is fixed tho. might put shadows on normal when theres more optimization done
