Remove image/video tags when quoting please, it's been a forum rule for a long time, if it's continually ignored we may well disable hotlinking of YT videos.

Some of you seem to be uberly failing at using the youtube tags, it's really not difficult, if this is your youtube link:

then all you do is take the part after v= which in this instance would be wmWWelVqVO4&fmt=22 so your YT tags will look like:

And thus it becomes:

wmWWelVqVO4&fmt=22

Hello! Can someone tell me how do I make movie from another angle, say I want to fly su-25 then I want to see action from another point of view? Is there any possibility to record .demo file in ARMA2?

I wish we could but no, everything has to be done in real time with the camera sqs script.

Place a unit, and a trigger next to it. Make it activate on radio alpha, repeatedly. And in the on act. box type

player exec 'camera.sqs'; showCinemaBorder false

You can also slow the game down by typing

player exec 'camera.sqs'; showCinemaBorder false; setAccTime 0.05

you can type anything from 0.03-4 there. So you can slow it down and speed it up.

Then in game just press 0-0-1 to radio alpha and then L to remove the crosshair.

Being able to record a game is actually something that has to be implemented in the beginning. Think BF2: it has that, but it always had that. BIS had no intention of creating a super video making-friendly environment whatsoever. And look at it this way, the game is about realism right? And in reality you have to film everything in real time, with multiple takes, until you get it right :)

In fact its somewhat easier, if you had a recorded game you can't change anything anymore. This way you can easily edit a scene if something went wrong.

Hi all

Actualy Litos this is not true. Simultaneous multiple camera angles are possible using Multiplayer and multi client. They can even be sychronised from the server via scripts.

Professionaly doing this over a LAN is advised.

It may also be possible for purely scripted events to achive with a single camera, repeating the event several times and viewing from a different angle. I think the multi client camera option is the better option though.

Kind regards walker

Guys, would you post some videos of humans on humans missions? Because fighting those AIs is not that big of a challenge. I know it's cool to go in coop, but there's nothing better than PvP.

I assume you mean having different people record the same thing from different angles.

I'm aware of this way, but it can be tough setting it all up like you want it, and they'll have to send their recordings to me, and resolutions differences could be a problem too. At the end of the day, it might take even longer than restarting the server and filming the same thing again from a different angle. I've developed fair ways of filming things quickly.

Great vids all!

After seeing the new flashpoint videos i decided to create my own version of "take the beach", just to show flashpoint fans that Arma has just as much, and more than flashpoint :)

<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6_RRG4r-g0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6_RRG4r-g0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

When flashpoint is released, i'm going to be very curious how the editor works. I would quite like to create my own scenarios like this, as the game doesn't look all that bad!

Rich, nice video, i have to say it does look like a flashpoint video a bit! But still, very nice work. I would say though, add some more jets etc. because Flashpoint isnt including jets.
