    Computer shuts off while playing

    Hey

I have somewhat of a weird problem when playing ArmA 2, during gameplay my computer suddenly shuts down, anyone had similar problems? Maybe it's because of the temperature?

    are you oveclocking?
have you checked your CPU fan is properly attached?
check the temperature on some monitoring software.

I had a switch-off issue with ARMA1 but i only got it on sahrani life i think and i haven't had it for a while. at least i haven't got it on another mission or with patch 1.16.

    Nope, no overclocking or whatsoever
Although; I just noticed that my GPU runs at 72 degrees C... at Idle (lol?), need to take it out and clean it up abit

Mine did that and I know why.

My setup is using an old, cheap PSU and I calculated the wattage was very marginal. At certain times, lack of power to the mobo triggered an instant-off in Arma2 (never before this game). I've now got my video card's supplementary power coming from a hot-wired PSU sat outside my system box and I was immediately able to get on with the overclocking which was impossible before.

PS my system runs ice cold on air cooling

I had that bug in ArmA1 when alt+TABed to the desktop and back. Not here though.

I've encountered same problem today (never happened before). I had to restart my computer several times.

I sorted it by downloading RivaTuner, with that program I adjusted my GPU fan to run at 100% at all time
