Return to Arma: 1.61 vs Vista 64 bit

Hi guys,

Just thought i would do the right thing and give some
feedback on the 1.16 patch for Arma.

Test Rig:

Mother Board: Asus P6T
Ram: Corsair Micro 12GB PC-12800 (1600MHz) XMS DDR3 Triple Channel, 9-9-9-24
Video : 2 x ATi 4890s in Cross Fire
Sound : onboard HD
Hard Drives 1 x Raptor (OS Drive) 2 x 500 gig (storage drives)
Mouse : Microsoft Sidewinder X8
Keyboard : Logitech G15 (2nd Edition)

Screens (a) Flatron L1954TQ LG 19' x 3
Screen (b) Sony 46' 200 HZ Barvia

Scrrens (a) Hardware : matrox TripleHead2Go Digital Edition

OS: Vista 64 bit with service pack 2 and lates drivers.

Arma Settings (gave high frame rates)
Res : 3840x1024 @ 60 hz 12:3 FOV
Terrain-Normal, Objects-Hight, Texture-High, Shading-Normal,
Postprocess Effects-High, Aniso Filtering-LOW, Shadow-Normal,
AA-Disabled, Blood-High.

Frame Rates were between 45-60 (i use vsync), the lowest i saw
frame rates goto were 28-30 with the sniper scope up.

I havent used any mods yet just the standard install. I must admit
BIS have done a great service to this game. I flogged this game for
6 hours straight and not 1 hang or crash, it was flawless.

out of interest, what is it like playing with three monitors? do the gaps between screens get annoying or do you just sort of forget about them when you start playing?

To be honest i dont notice them at all when im playing, but when your at desktop surfing and running apps thats when you notice.

My question too. If ya brag then Brag big! lol And the lack of AA is a sin!, but then i guess you get the extra 20fps of jaggie crawlys... and then the AF on low... i like my grass out farther, heck is free on the FPS. And dont even get me started on the Shading and Shadows setting....
Like the Vsync tho!
